One of the key challenges developing countries is to tackle mitigation impacts rapid and uncontrolled urbanization. Assessing this phenomenon crucial lessen consequences for environment society. ‘Literature has been concentrated in planning strategies cities’ adaptation engagements principles green development ensuring a long-term quality life their citizens. Hereby, smart technologies applications consist two most encouraging concepts solutions achieving 2030 2050 horizon targets towards clean energy transition carbon neutrality. In academia, scholars have already raised importance ‘smartness’ define adaptative patterns global pressures climate change urban growth. The these phenomena ensure future impacts. This study seeks strategic smart-driven vision leverage smartness on urbanization that occurred case Beijing, China. Defining evaluating environmental line with RIAM approach as one its main targets. Future works can be focused addressing similar cases further not only overcome environmental, but also economic, social, digital complications.
